Scott's Top 5 Burgers in NYC
🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔
Au Cheval
33 Cortlandt Alley, New York, NY 10013
My current favorite! Every ingredient is perfect. It’s a work of art. I’ve had it with and without the fried egg both were excellent. I highly recommend the bacon. It’s out of this world. Fries are good but nothing to write home about. Great atmosphere and beer selection too.
Peter Luger Steak House
178 Broadway, Brooklyn, NY 11211
Peter Luger is known for steak, but locals know they have one of the best burgers around. They know beef and the meat is so good. Definitely get their famous thick slab of bacon. You can put half on the burger and eat the other half by itself. Their steak sauce is also a perfect match and the steakhouse fries are solid. They’ve been around since the 1800’s, so if you are looking for a classic NYC burger, this is a great choice.
P.J. Clarke's
915 3rd Ave, New York, NY 10022
Just like Peter Luger, PJ Clarke’s has been around since the 1800’s and if you want a perfect example of a classic NYC burger, their “Cadillac Burger” is it. It’s delicious and also should please burger purists who think a burger should fit a certain mold. The fries are my favorite and similar to McDonalds fries. So good!
Emily - West Village
35 Downing St, New York, NY 10014
Emily is the one burger on my list that unconventional, so you burger purists may not agree with me. My criteria for food is how happy it makes my mouth and this burger gave my mouth an orgasm! Love the pretzel bun, the meat, the cheese, and every bite was amazing. The curly fries are tasty but not my favorite and a little greasy for my taste. But the burger is just amazing. They have other locations and are known for their pizza, but I’ve only been to this one.
